LAUNCH OF THE PROJECT

The Department of International Relations and European Integration has organized a conference in order to mark the launch of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “Structures of Interconnectivity in the EU’s Neighbourhood, whose coordinator is Prof. Univ. Dr. Gheorghe Barbulescu Jordan. The event took place on 9th of December 2015, at the SNSPA headquarters.

ACADEMIC WORKSHOP

24th of November 2016

The academic workshop “The Est, West and…the Rest? New research trends in EU’s Neighbourhood Studies” tooktake place on 24th of November, at the headquarters of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, at the 4th floor, room 428.
Through this event we aimed to do a follow-up on the activities that were conducted previously within the Centre of Excellence and to gather various stakeholders with whom we want to develop a collaborative interaction. Therefore, by organizing this promotional event we facilitated the communication between academia, policy makers, business community and representatives of civil society and to contribute to the development of a network.

The event offered to insterested students, young researchers and practitioners the opportunity to  participate to 3 interactive sessions, in which:
• you will learn about the research projects that are funded through European programs within the Departments;
• we will discuss the synthesis of the most recent European studies theories (volume “Studying europeanization. Different theoretical lenses and new methodological Approaches”, Oana Andreea Ion (eds.), Publisher Triton 2016);
• you will take part in the debate “Emerging risks in the Black Sea region” where we have a special guest, Alexandra Martin, Alumni of the Department and advisory at The German Marshall Fund of the United States (Washington, USA).

THIRD PROMOTIONAL EVENT “Project results and future research directions”

18th of June 2018

The final event of the project took place at the end of the implementation period and hasbeen organized in order to disseminate information regarding the results achieved within the project, the specialist network initated and developed due to the international conferences that we have organized and the future research plans in the study area of ENP.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Between September 2015 and August 2018, the Department of International Relations and European Integration (DRIIE) coordinates the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence "Structures of the EU's Neighbourhood Interconnectivity in", co-funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus Plus Program, Jean Monnet Action.
